Sorry maybe I’m being a bit thick but can’t seem to see the field in the form builder for the invitation codes

Well, Before you could add invitation field into your Form Editor, you
will have to enable Invitation Codes from it’s Configuration page:
Pie-Register >> Invitation Codes

Once you add some invitation code the field will be available on the
form editor to be added on the registration form.
