Pie RegisterParticipantHello,
As i previously said, it is a bit difficult to say what exactly the issue is since its limited to yours or someones else environment however, i am uploading a possible patch to see if it works, please download the file, extract and replace the forgot_password.php with the one inside that zip.
https://pieregister.com/pr_patches/forgot_password_possible_fix_version_2.0.21.zipplease let us know if how it goes.
Looking forward

Randy FederighiParticipantThanks you for looking into this.
You found one of the issues I found. In the base code “filteremail()” was looking for $user passed as an “object” and it was passing a string instead. Unfortunately, I had already tried that fix and, as with my attempt, it will send the email with that fix. However, the next issue is that the reset URL message says: “This Reset key is invalid or no longer exists.”
So if we could just figure out why the reset link does not work I think we’d be all set!
Thank you again for your attention to this! We really appreciate it!

Pie RegisterParticipantHi Randy,
There were some issues with WP new hashing method that was causing issues on previous versions, however, with the current version it does work fine on latest WordPress version. You can check on our website. I will also confirm if we are using any patch for that bug on our environment.
Can you please confirm again both WP and PR versions?
Thanks

Randy FederighiParticipantHi Mohsin,
I apologize for the delay here. I did update WP and added the fix. It all seems to work fine now with the minor exception that the link is sent in plain text format (yes, I made sure the HTML email type was specified for the lost password field email) so the user has to copy and paste it but that is not as big an issue. Unless I missed some other setting that seems to be the only issue. Thanks for the help this far!

Pie RegisterParticipantHello,
I am glad you got it working. Well, you will need to use tag to make the URL clickable on all mail client, some email client automatically convert the URL into clickable link the other dont. so I would recommend you to use tag.
Thanks
