Is there a way to ask the user to choose a role upon registration (for example, Buyer and Seller)?

Hello,

There is no such built-in option to do that however, if you are
convenient with PHP/Wordpress coding, you can make use of PR hooks to do
that. Simply, add a drop down with Roles as options and assign the role
based on the user posted value using “pie_save_registration” Hook.
