How to configure social login APIs with Pie Register

In this tutorial you will learn how to configure different social login with Pie Register Pro

Facebook

Follow instructions below to setup Facebook for social login with Pie Register

  1. Sign in to your Facebook Developer Account
  2. Click “Add a New App” under “My Apps” tab
  3. Click “Website” link
  4. Name your app Example “My Website App” (This name will be displayed on the login dialog box)
  5. Click “Create New App ID”
  6. Choose an appropriate “Category”
  7. On the next screen type in following URL in the site & mobile site URL boxes. http://example.com/?facebook=true (Replace example.com with your WordPress install URL) You have successfully created your login app. In order to use it, follow the steps below:
  8. Open your newly created app from “My Apps” page
  9. Put a contact email on “Settings” tab and hit save changes button
  10. Go to “Status & Review” and change status to “Yes”
  11. Confirm your changes
  12. Lastly, go to your App Dashboard, copy “App ID” & “App Secret” and paste it over to Pie-Register Facebook settings tab

Twitter

Follow instructions below to setup Twitter for social login with Pie Register

  1. Sign in to the Twitter Developer account and with your Twitter Account
  2. On the next screen, click on “Create a New App”
  3. Fill in your Application Details. Name your app Example “My Website App” (This name will be displayed on the login dialog box)
  4. Type your WordPress install URL in the Website box in this format: http://example.com/?twitter=true(Where example.com with your WordPress install URL)
  5. Type your WordPress install URL in the Callback URL box. Example: http://example.com/?twitter=true(Where example.com with your WordPress install URL)
  6. Press “Create your Twitter application”
  7. Check “Allow this application to be used to Sign in with Twitter” under the settings tab and update settings
  8. Now go to Keys and Access Tokens, copy “Consumer Key (API Key)” & “Consumer Secret (API Secret)” and paste it over to Pie-Register Twitter settings tab

Google

Follow instructions below to setup Google for social login with Pie Register

  1. Sign in to your Google Developer Account
  2. On the next screen, click “Create Project”
  3. Type in the project name. Example “My Website App” and press the “Create” button
  4. Go to “Consent screen” under “APIs & Auth” and fill in your application details
  5. Go to “Credentials” under the “APIs & Auth” and press “Create new Client ID” button
  6. Choose “Web application” and type in URL http://example.com/ in the “AUTHORIZED JAVASCRIPT ORIGINS” box. (Where example.com with your WordPress install URL)
  7. type in URL http://example.com/?google=true in the “AUTHORIZED REDIRECT URIS” box. (Where example.com with your WordPress install URL) and press “Create Client ID”
  8. Now, copy “CLIENT ID” & “CLIENT SECRET” and paste it over to Pie-Register Google settings tab

Linkedin

Follow instructions below to setup LinkedIn for social login with Pie Register

  1. Sign in to your LinkedIn Developer Account
  2. On the next screen, click “Add New Application” link
  3. Fill in your Application details.
  4. Type in the following URL into the Website, Redirect and Accept Redirect box: http://example.com/?linkedin=true (Where example.com with your WordPress install URL)
  5. Put the following URL into the Cancel URL box http://example.com/?linkedin=false (Where example.com with your WordPress install URL)
  6. Press “Add Application”
  7. On the next screen, copy “API Key” & “Secret Key” and paste it over to Pie-Register Linkedin settings tab

WordPress

  1. Sign in to your WordPress Developer Account
  2. On the next screen, click “Create New Application”
  3. Fill in your Application details
  4. Type in the following URL in the ‘Website and Redirect URL’ box. http://example.com/?wordpress=true (Where example.com with your WordPress install URL)
  5. Press “Create”
  6. Open your newly created app from “My Apps” page
  7. On the next screen, copy “Client ID” & “Client Secret” and paste it over to Pie-Register WordPress settings tab
