Hi, it seems that the version 3.0 has send emails to my users on final note on payment (we do not even have a paid site) and actually deleted quite a few of my users from the WP database.
Any pointers on why this has happened and how to restore?
MikeApril 10, 2017 at 9:41 am #10004994kreekParticipantSame happened to my site.
It seems to be the users that have been added before installing PR.
It also includes a mail to the old mail address for the site administrator.April 11, 2017 at 6:07 am #10005002Pie RegisterParticipantHi Kreek,
Sorry for any inconvenience caused. Our QA team is trying to recreate the issue you reported. Once we found the issue we will provide you an update.
Thanks.
April 11, 2017 at 1:12 pm #10005005Pie RegisterParticipantThere is no functionality of auto delete in Pie Register. For emails, please share a sample email that was sent to your users.
April 20, 2017 at 2:12 pm #10005023Mike CrawfurdParticipantHi, this is a copy of the email one of my users got:
“Dear <userid-removed>,
Our last attempt to charge the membership payment for your account failed.
You are requested to log in to your account at tipmytip travel experts to provide a different payment method, or contact your bank/credit-card company to resolve this issue.
Failure to do so will result in your account being removed from tipmytip travel experts.
Kind Regards,”
This template is similar to the membership template in the pieregister. Only the few that got the email got their accounts removed. I did find out that these users has failed logins, but I assume they reset their password (could this the reason that they were judged as invalid users and got their account removed) but haven’t checked with them yet.

Thanks for sharing the template. We did some debugging and to recreate the issue we will need you to go to Settings > Security (tab) and take a screenshot of “User Verification” Section or provide us the values you have entered. It will help us recreate the issue sooner.
Thanks,

One of my users also got the same email and their account then got deleted.
Here is a screen shot of my user verification settings:

This has been going on for weeks of users getting the “Payment Failed” notification and then their account deleted, even though there are no payment settings activated. PLEASE fix this asap, as we have nearly 1000 users on the site this is used on and will have to dump this plugin and find another pretty quick if this isn’t fixed, cause I am getting emails/calls daily with users wondering what the payment failed email is and why their accounts are deactivated.
April 29, 2017 at 8:40 am #10005038Pie RegisterParticipantHi,

@Design Connection: For now you can set the grace period to 0. We will have the fix out by Tuesday.
